  1. Hi Sarah, it’s Jim. I have just read Yale’s response and it is, well “clunky”. In one part they say that your call to the YPD only indicated that you didn’t know this person, had never seen her before, etc. In another part they say that your call was a criminal accusation, uncorroborated, So, which is it? It was not you that assumed criminality, but the police, as is stated in the response.
It’s a confusing clutter of “word salad”. Of course a lawyer may view it differently, but “plain reading” shows it not to be.

    1. Hi Jim, I haven’t actually read either Yale’s post hearing brief or reply brief, because I know that they contain disgusting lies about me, and I’m not feeling very strong right now. I made clear in my testimony that when I called the non emergency helpline of the YPD, I told the officer who answered that even if Lolade Siyonbola (I didn’t know her name or identity) turned out to be a student and dorm resident, that it was against Yale Housing Regulations to use the dorm common rooms as sleeping accommodations, and that she needed to return to her room. My attorney then asked me, “Is it a crime to violate a Yale Housing Regulation?” And, I replied, “No, of course not.” Yale has backed themselves into this bizarre corner wherein they have to basically say — oh yeah, we are just helpful and friendly campus security basically, and you can call us for any reason whatsoever, which is what they have always said to me, and what is on their website, in their promotional material, etc. But, to win this case, they have to lie and say — no we’re just like regular municipal police, and no Yale student should call us for any reason, unless they want an armed response and they want someone arrested. Which is just completely a LIE.

      1. It’s bizarre , That’s being kind, I think. Another argument was that YPD never referred to your incident as “racist”. Okay, but Yale itself did, or implied and YPD is a part of what institution? Oh yeah! Yale.
I think I understand what’s going on here and I am considering a blog post that would better explain it.
