In light of the Trump Admin’s investigation into Brown University’s campus safety procedures, following the mass shooting at Brown, I sent an email to the Department of Education to ask them to launch a similar investigation into Yale’s Clery Act violations. On November 10th, 2025, the Yale Police called me and accused me of a plot to kill Yale Presidents Maurie McInnis and Peter Salovey, among others. The fact that the Yale Police refuse to complete their investigation, and no timely warnings or emergency alerts were issued, leads me to believe, now more than ever, that the death threat was fake and was likely created by Yale. However, following the mass shooting at Brown University, and the killing of the MIT Professor, Nuno Loureiro, I am terrified for my life. It is more important than ever that Trump forces the Yale Police to get to the bottom of this alleged death threat.
Hello Dept of Education,
I want to bring Yale University’s Clery Act violations to your attention. These violations span years. In light of the recent mass shooting at Brown University, it is imperative that the Department of Education launch an investigation into Yale’s campus safety and security measures and procedures.
On November 10th, Yale Police called me and accused me of having sent a death threat to Yale Presidents Maurie McInnis and Peter Salovey and others at Yale. They said that I had done this on November 7th, on the Office of Institutional Equity and Accessibility website.
No timely warning was issued. No emergency alerts went out.
The Yale Police now refuses to complete their investigation. They also refuse to give me the death threat and technical information, so I can determine the origin. They also refuse to allow me to file a formal complaint. I believed this was because the death threat was fake and likely created by the Yale Administration.
Regardless, on learning of the mass shooting at Brown University, I am fearful for my life, and it is more important than ever that the truth of the origin of the death threat is exposed.
Additionally, in 2019, the Yale Police accused me of a plot to bomb the 2019 Commencement ceremony. No timely warning was issued. No emergency alerts went out. I do not believe that this was reported to the Department of Education under the Clery Act as it should have been. Again, I believe this is so, because the accusation was unequivocally false. This was part of Yale’s many years’ campaign of intimidation and harassment against me.
Moreover, in 2018, Yale violated the Clery Act by falsely labeling a police report from me as a suspicious person report, rather than what it was: a report of criminal stalking and harassment. This was done to avoid having to report the crimes to the Department of Education. The police report also included gross falsehoods about me, including the claim that I had told someone that they “didn’t belong there.” This was done, so that Yale could use me as their “Nazi,” to justify implementing their vast new Woke DEI Bureaucracy, Belonging at Yale.
I do not believe that these crimes of stalking and harassment were ever reported to the Department of Education as they should have been. I believe that, instead, Yale reported me as having perpetrated a racist hate crime, because I called the non-emergency helpline of the Yale Campus Police for help, exactly as then Police Chief Ronnell Higgins repeatedly told me to do.
Additionally, Yale Police almost immediately ceased including race in the descriptions of suspects. So, no one knows what they look like. Yale has continued this policy to this day, because of me, even though Yale is in the midst of a many years violent crime spree. At the beginning of 2023, Yale modified their ID policies. They said that they had done this explicitly because of me. They made it so no one on campus would ever be asked to show ID to enter a campus building, including the dorms. Yale had to reverse this policy almost immediately following a string of violent crimes on campus, including in the dorms.
This is why the Brown shooting happened: because Woke DEI University Presidents and Professors and Admins decided that it was racist to have a secure campus and an effective police force. Yale Police Chief Ronnell Higgins even perjured himself before the CT FOIA Commission. Higgins has also repeatedly publicly accused me of trying to lynch black students at Yale, because I wanted to be safe in my dorm on campus, and because I questioned the presence of a stranger who had followed me into an elevator and up to my isolated Yale dorm room.
Yale is also in gross violation of FERPA. Yale released my private information, including my medical history at Yale, to my harassers and stalkers.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I ask you to launch an investigation at Yale into these Clery Act and FERPA violations.
Best regards,
Sarah Braasch
