This is my email to Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway, asking him to please help me save my life. I kept it short and sweet. Jonathan knows me. We worked together at Yale on the anti-racism conference to honor Joyce Mitchell Cook, the first African American woman in the US to get a PhD in Philosophy, which she obtained at Yale. I am asking him to ask Rutgers Professor Taja-Nia Henderson to please retract her American University Law Review article about me that amounts to a death threat against me and puts my life in the gravest danger.
Dear President Holloway,
First, I would like to tell you how thrilled I am for you that you are the first Black President of Rutgers. I have always said so.
I know that you know that I am the entirely innocent victim of the Living or Napping While Black Hate Crime Hoax at Yale.
I know that you know that I am an innocent anti-racism Yale grad student who would never in a million years engage in racism.
I am asking you to please ask Professor Taja-Nia Henderson to retract her American University Law Review article that amounts to a death threat against me and puts my life in the gravest danger.
I am trying desperately to save my life and my lifelong human and civil rights academic and legal careers.
Please help me.
All my best,
Sarah Braasch
